How It All Started

TKLE started when a local Karoo farmer approached a friend and asked "How can we bring more tourists to our area?".  

It was a question that led to the realisation that the future of tourism in the Karoo is in our own hands.

It is an initiative born and anchored in the Karoo. It focuses on developing tourism in a way that is practical, grounded, and shaped by the realities of the region.
